What are the benefits?

All residential lighting products for newly constructed homes in the state of California must meet CEC’s effiency requirements. So, if you plan to sell in the state of CA, getting certified under their Title 24 is mandatory.

In general, Title 24 requirements are more stringent than many other energy efficiency standards. A few other states and jurisdictions also have adopted these requirements.

Your products will be eligible for energy efficiency rebates.

How do you ensure Title 24 compliance?

The general requirements are outlined in Residential Lighting Guide for 2022 Building Energy Efficiency Standards (link is external).

To qualify under the Title 24, lighting products must be tested by an ISO 17025/NVLAP accredited testing lab and the lab must also be approved by the California Energy Commission.
